Katie Couric has finally broken her silence on the Apple+ series Morning Show which is thought to based on her time co-starring on the Today show with Matt Lauer.
The 63-year-old TV vet said the series was ‘interesting’ and then commented that 51-year-old Jennifer Aniston‘s character Alex Levy was lacking.
‘I think Jennifer Aniston is great. … I wish they had made her more charismatic because I think you need a certain ebullience to pull off a show like that,’ Couric told Everything Iconic With Danny Pellegrino.

Aniston has won praise for her performance of the morning TV fixture who worries TV executives may find her too old to appease millennials. The Friends vet even won a Screen Actors Guild Award this year for her work.

Matt, now 62, was let go from the Today show (he was there from 1997 to 2017), after claims he had been sexually inappropriate with women on the set.
NBC said they had receiving ‘a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.’
And it was added that the network had ‘reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident.’

Couric, 63, also said on the podcast that she found it all so ‘interesting’ but did not give any examples why.
‘I have so many thoughts … I thought some of it was really interesting, and i think the long-term impact and the serious devastation that results from certain behaviors was quite well represented, or quite well conveyed in that,’ Couric told the podcast.
But the bubbly blonde seemed to not want to give away her opinions for free as she is saving them for an upcoming tell-all book slated to be released in 2021.

When the interviewer pushed her to say something riveting, Katie put the brakes on.
‘I thought it was really interesting to watch,’ she said, ‘… but it was very interesting for me to watch, I’ll just leave it at that.’
Apple confirmed earlier this year that The Morning Show will come back for another season.
