MasterChef judges’ WILD wardrobes revealed: Melissa Leong had ‘100 different earrings and 48 pairs of shoes’ available – and Jock Zonfrillo only wore ‘tailor-made suits’

MasterChef Australia is known for its over-the-top dishes.

But it turns out the wardrobe budget is equally outrageous, with judges Melissa Leong and Jock Zonfrillo enjoying only the finest threads.

A production insider told New Idea that food writer Melissa, 40, wore ‘almost 100 pairs of earrings and 48 pairs of shoes’ this season.

The source added that Scottish-born restaurateur Jock, 43, exclusively wore ‘tailor-made’ suits during filming.

Melissa was dressed on set by Melbourne-based stylist Charmaine De Pasquale.

One of her most striking outfits from last week comprised a black and white two-piece ensemble by Ted Baker, Hello Polly earrings and Mimco heels.

She also wore a blue Ted Baker dress, Senso heels and earrings by Zara on Tuesday’s episode.

It comes after eliminated contestant Courtney Roulston revealed the one major flaw with MasterChef: the overly complex challenges.

She said the recipes were too complicated and included ingredients that were so obscure even experienced chefs would be left scratching their heads.

‘I didn’t know what a boab was. I still don’t know what it is. Kohlrabi cones?’ said Courtney, who was asked to make a tricky prawn dish on Tuesday.

Courtney explained that some of the methods were completely foreign to her, which heightened her stress levels during the cook-off.

‘I’d never put burrata through a siphon gun before… that’s why I took so long reading the recipe,’ she said.

‘I thought they gave me the Taiwanese version and I couldn’t actually understand it.’

Courtney came in fifth place on the second season of MasterChef Australia in 2010, before returning this year for the Back to Win season.
