Britain’s Got Talent contestant Kevin Quantum says his fiery audition DIDN’T go to plan 

Britain’s Got Talent Kevin Quantum suffered a dice with death during his audition on Saturday as he admitted that it didn’t go entirely to plan.

The contestant breathed a visible sigh of after he walked through a giant invention based on Newton’s cradle made up of flaming cannon balls.    

After successfully making it through the stunt in one piece, Kevin admitted the audition started at the wrong time meaning it could have gone horribly wrong.

Kevin left the judging panel made up of David Walliams, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon gobsmacked with his fiery stunt. 

A medic was put on standby during the performance as the judges and audience held their breath throughout the audition.   

He menacingly warned: ‘Simon, we know you love a bit of drama well tonight I’ll be setting these cannon balls on fire.’

‘They will take out literally anything and anyone, I will attempt to walk through them without being struck. I need complete faith in science to make this work,’ he adds.

Kevin then got into position and put a black mask over his face, so he can’t see his surroundings, while a crew member sets the cannonballs on fire and lets the loose. 

Yet Ant and Dec were concerned over the invention and worried it isn’t going to plan, as they panic: ‘That’s not right is it, is that right?’ 

While a grinning Simon joked: ‘He’s crazy!’

At the end of the audition, Kevin revealed that something wasn’t quite right with the apparatus as he admitted it didn’t start at the right time.

Simon made a very special and unique appearance during Saturday’s episode of Britain’s Got Talent.

The music mogul, 61, entered a room full of gob-smacked pupils as he surprised them at their school to share some good news with them.

Simon was mobbed by excitable kids as he strolled into the classroom, leaving one of them questioning whether he was a ‘fake’.

The father-of-one told the children they could ask him anything they wanted, with one questioning: ‘What would happen if we went on BGT?’

Simon revealed that if he gave them a red buzzer he would expect them to say: ‘Simon, you don’t know what you’re talking about.’

The judge then revealed that the leader of their choir, teacher Danny, had secretly applied for the group – Class Dynamix – to audition for the show that day.

Following an impressive audition that received four yeses, Danny told judges Simon, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams: ‘They’re a mixed group, different confidence levels, they’ll never forget the day Simon Cowell came to their school.’

He also joked: ‘Nasir [a pupil] said she will never wash her shirt again.’ 

Simon told the group: ‘This is such a strong message, we’ve never had a choir like you before!’

Jonny Berliner was next up to try and impress the judges with his educational songs, however the audition fell flat when he received a red buzzer from Amanda.

A highlight of the evening was contestant Fayth Ifil’s golden buzzer moment after a powerhouse performance of Tina Turner’s Proud Mary. 

The young starlet is no stranger to a Tina song, thanks to her role as young Tina in the West End stage show version of the Tina Turner musical.

Simon was clearly bowled over by her audition and awarded the 12-year-old with a clear run to the the live shows.

Another contestant to impress the judges was Liverpool reverend Alan Finnegan, who compared the relationship he has with his his credit card to the one he has with his wife.

Alan impressed the judges and more importantly the audience with his quick wit, and received four yeses for his efforts.

Last up during the show was Bhim Niroula, who wowed with his self-penned song Love You Everyday, which was dedicated to his girlfriend in the audition.

The catchy track proved popular with Amanda, Alesha and David and although Simon appeared reluctant he was put through to the next stage.

During the love song David was up to his usual tricks as he serenaded Simon, who tried to forcibly move him out of the way while he lay on the desk.

David quipped: ‘You’re going to kill me’, while Simon replied: ‘I don’t care!’
