  • Here’s how to help people impacted by Covid-19

Paul Gascoigne joined friends in a garden shed pub before the owner’s wife smashed it up because party-goers kept her up all night.

The former England ace – who has battled alcoholism for years – shared a video of himself in the makeshift pub on social media.

The ex-Newcastle player’s agent said the video was shot 10 weeks ago, before the Government urged people to stay indoors to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

But the clip clearly shows Gascoigne wearing shorts and there are leaves on trees in the background.

Paul Salmon built the ‘lads’ pad’ near a caravan site in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, last year, The Sun reports.

Video shows Mr Salmon unlocking the door and saying: ‘Here we are lads!’ His friend then admits that they had a party on a previous night as the camera captures empty beer bottles around the property.

The owner then announces that the former Spurs midfielder is ‘in the old shed’ for a ‘few beers’.

The owner's wife later did this to the shed as she ranted that people drinking inside it had been keeping her up at night

Gascoigne, 52, is then seen making an ‘okay’ sign with his fingers after being asked whether it’s the best beer shed he’s ever been in.

Others in the footage are seen playing cards, watching TV and drinking beers as Gascoigne says the shed is ‘unreal’.

But they couldn’t enjoy it for long, as a later video showed Salmon’s furious wife, Elizabeth, smashing up the property, telling them ‘you’ve pushed me too far’ and saying they have been ‘torturing’ her with the early morning parties.

It comes just months after Gascoigne proudly told audiences he was incapable of drinking alcohol to excess.

In January, he revealed that pellets in his stomach make him feel sick if he drinks more than a couple of beers.
