Bindi Irwin is ‘looking for decent candidates’ to date her mother Terri 

Terri Irwin has not dated anyone since her husband Steve tragically passed away in 2006.

But on Thursday, it was reported that Terri’s daughter Bindi has decided to take matters into her own hands by playing matchmaker for her mother.  

Bindi, who married Chandler Powell last month, reportedly wants the same for her mother and is even shopping around for potential suitors to take her out on a date.

‘Bindi would love nothing more than to see Terri find a nice guy and settle down,’ an inside source reportedly told GLOBE magazine. 

‘She’s been discreetly asking around and looking for decent candidates who can take her mum out to dinner and get her back into the dating whirl again.’  

The 55-year-old conservationist has been too busy working and raising Bindi and Robert to have time for dating in the 14 years since her husband passed, according to the source.

‘It does have an impact on her private life, as she doesn’t get much time to relax when she’s not working,’ the source reportedly said. 

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Terri Irwin for comment.  

Terri has previously been romantically linked to Australian actor Russell Crowe but she has repeatedly denied the rumours, saying they are just friends. 

She told Access Hollywood in 2017: ‘In all honesty, he (Russell) and Steve became friends many years ago, and after Steve passed, you find out who your true friends are.

‘And Russell has been very loyal as a great friend.’

On Thursday, Bindi posted a childhood picture of herself, standing between her parents Terri and Steve.  

‘Thank you to my incredible parents for showing me the importance of protecting our Mother Earth,’ she captioned the post. 

‘They taught me that we are all connected and that we must work together to ensure a bright future for the next generations. We are Wildlife Warriors.’
