Lucy Hale goes mask-free and flashes big smile while chatting on the phone during walk with her dog

She has been hunkered down in her Los Angeles home with her beloved dog in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

And on Tuesday morning, the Katy Keene star headed out on a walk around her neighborhood with her pet Elvis. 

She appeared to be in a great mood as she chatted on her phone with a big beaming smile on her face.

On this day Hale, 30, stepped out in high-waisted denim blue jeans and a blue and white stripped shirt that was tucked into the front of her pants.

She also donned white sneakers and a faded bandanna around her neck – presumably ready to be used as a mask if needed – as she briskly led the way during their stroll.

To help with the sun glaring sun, she wore dark sunglasses and pulled her dark, shoulder-length tresses back into a ponytail. 

It turns out the former Pretty Little Liars actress had to coerce her four-legged family member to go on their walk.

‘That can’t be comfortable,’ she said in an Insta-Story video as Elvis was sprawled on on a rocky white surface.

‘And you’re blending in,’ she added in reference to his white fur.

‘There’s Elvis. Come on let’s go for a walk.’ 

Afterwards, the proud dog owner posted a picture and joked about how Elvis looks much like his favorite toy. 

Los Angeles County’s new mandate on wearing face coverings went into effect last week.

Hale did not break the guideline because people who are on solitary runs or walks are exempt, so long as they keep a proper social distance from any passer-byes.

Residents are required to wear a covering over their nose and mouth while inside essential businesses.

Hale’s new Riverdale spin-off series, Katy Keene, premiered February 6 on the CW network.
