Earlier this year, Karl Stefanovic joked about his recent weight gain after unflattering photos surfaced of him at the beach in Byron Bay.
And on Wednesday, the 45-year-old journalist referenced his dad bod once again during a segment on the Today show.
He was interviewing an expert about Kim Jong-un‘s rumoured hospitalisation when he compared himself to the portly North Korean leader.

‘So he’s a smoker, he’s dangerously overweight, he never exercises,’ Karl began.
‘This is Kim Jong-un I’m talking about, not myself!’ he added with a laugh.
Daily NK, a Seoul-based website, reported on Monday that Kim Jong-un, who is believed to be about 36, was recovering after undergoing a cardiovascular procedure on April 12.
U.S. President Trump has since said there is no confirmation that Kim is gravely ill during a White House briefing on Tuesday.

‘Little Karlos junior is going very nicely down there,’ Karl said with a laugh during an interview on Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa.
‘I can confirm this morning that I am 20 weeks pregnant and little Karlos junior is going very nicely down there, he’s coming along beautifully.’
His Today show co-host, Allison Langdon, added: ‘He’s kicking!’

Karl admitted that during the beach trip – on December 14 in Byron Bay – he was feeling great after getting out of the water.
But he said he soon realised after seeing the pictures that ‘you just think you look much better than you look like.’
Karl recently posted one of the beach snaps on his Instagram, and once again poked fun at his weight gain while confirming that his wife, Jasmine Yarbrough, was pregnant and expecting their first child.
‘After a great deal of speculation…the rumours are true,’ Karl captioned the hilarious post.
Shoe Designer Jasmine, 35, is due in May.
