Jeffrey Dean Morgan celebrates 54th birthday farming with daughter as wife Hilarie pens tribute

Jeffrey Dean Morgan spent his 54th birthday on Wednesday farming at his Mischief Farm located in Rhinebeck, New York alongside his two-year-old daughter George.

The Walking Dead star even got a surprise birthday cake (remotely) during his interview Wednesday on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan where he accidentally said an un-bleeped curse word.

‘[My daughter George] is so much trouble. I adore her. She is absolutely a daddy’s girl. There’s no doubt about it. I actually can’t believe I’m able to do this right now without her in my face yelling at me,’ Morgan gushed on the talk show.

‘She’s got this habit of taking things that I need and love and disposing of them. My glasses, my TV remote, and my headphones all go in the toilet at any given time.’

The bearded 6ft1in heartthrob also got a birthday shout-out from his castmate in AMC’s The Walking Dead, Norman Reedus.

But the most touching tribute came from Jeffrey’s second wife Hilarie Burton, who shared a slideshow of candid family snaps and gushed: ‘You make everything better.’

‘There’s a whole heap of people out there who love @jeffreydeanmorgan. He’s a person who is electric, dynamic. He laughs hard and can curse a blue streak, and has a heart bigger than most,’ the 37-year-old One Tree Hill alum wrote to her 1.1M Instagram followers.

‘He takes on responsibility and fights for others, and works hard. And then he comes home and doesn’t rest. He’s the pony that our kids hop on. He’s the cuddler of donkeys. He’s the dreamer who pulls a log out of the woods and makes a table or art or mountains of firewood.

‘But to me, he is the only person [whose] opinion matters. I met him when I was 26, and he saw me for who I wanted to be. And then he kicked down every obstacle to get us here. Happy Birthday, Jeffrey.’

The Morgans – who finally wed on October 5 – originally met on a 2009 blind date arranged by his former Supernatural co-star Jensen Ackles.

The Seattle-born star and the Virginia-born beauty are also proud parents of 10-year-old son Augustus – as well as the donkeys, emus, alpacas, ducks, chickens, Highland cows, and dogs on their farm.

Jeffrey and Hilarie currently co-host a weekly remote talk show Friday Night In with the Morgans, which airs Fridays on AMC.

As for when audiences can finally see The Walking Dead’s 10th season finale, Morgan – who plays former Saviors leader Negan – said ‘it’s a big waiting game.’

‘We had finished shooting season 10, but the last episode couldn’t air because they were unable to finish the editing on it,’ the Postcard Killers actor told Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest.

‘So the season finale, episode 16, we don’t know when that will air. I hope in the next couple months you’ll see the season finale of the show. No one knows when and where and if…’
