Fans slam Gogglebox Australia stars for joking about a driver on RBT being on drugs – but he WASN’T!

The moment Gogglebox Australia stars accuse a driver on RBT of being ‘off his head’ on drugs only to be left stunned when he tests NEGATIVE – proving you can never judge a book by its cover

Gogglebox Australia stars are known for giving their brutal, honest and uncensored opinions from the comfort of the couches.

But on last week’s episode, their harsh and judgmental comments about an unidentified man came back to bite them.

While watching Channel Nine’s RBT, the stars accused a driver of being on drugs, only to find out he recorded negative results for both alcohol and drugs by police.

Fans slammed Gogglebox Australia stars last week for falsely accusing a driver on RBT was ‘off his head’ on drugs due to his appearance on screen – and they were all shocked when the man (pictured) tested NEGATIVE for both alcohol and drugs by police

Fans were not impressed by the stars jumping to the worst-case scenario and unfairly judging the man based on his physical appearance.

‘Just cause they look like they’re higher than a kite doesn’t mean they are!’ an angry viewer said after the episode aired.

‘We’re the worst at judging people by their appearances,’ one fan wrote, as others agreed they had also been unfair with their initial opinions of the man.

Another said: ‘That was a huge lesson for me. I am ashamed. I thought he had been drinking. I feel really ashamed. I will not judge a book by its cover’

‘We are so judgemental. He could have a condition which causes that look. I have cousins who have a condition that causes muscle deterioration. They get so sick of people thinking they are on alcohol and drugs. We really need to be just a little more careful guys,’ another suggested.

During the episode, the couch commentators all joked that the driver was obviously drunk or high without a doubt in their minds.

‘He is so off his head,’ Isabelle Silbery said, while Vestal Delpechitra agreed: ‘He’ll be under for alcohol, but positive for drugs!’

‘He’s definitely not passing the drug test, if this guy isn’t on drugs I’ll do 20 push-ups,’ Matty Fahd said with utter confidence.

'No!' However, when both of the driver's tests came back negative and was allowed to drive away, the cast were last gobsmacked. Pictured: Isabelle Silbery

However, when both of the driver’s tests came back negative and was allowed to drive away, the cast were last gobsmacked.

They all apologies and said how bad they felt for being wrong, and Matty jumped on the floor to begin his push-up punishment for unfairly judging the man.
