Twitter is DOWN! Thousands are are unable to see tweets and are shown a ‘Twitter is over capacity’ message when logging into the platform

If you are experiencing problems with Twitter, you are not alone.

Reports about issues with the social media site are flooding the internet with many saying tweets and the home page are not loading.

Some users are also seeing the error message ‘Twitter is over capacity.’

The outage seems to be affecting parts of the US, Europe and Japan, all of which appear to have begun around 10 AM ET.

 Thousands of reports have been posted to Downdector Monday morning, while some said that the website was not opening, others said they were unable to share any tweets.

Approximately 52 percent of the reports highlight problems with the website, 33 percent with the iOS app and 13 percent of users are experiencing issues in the Android app. 

Northern Europe and the east coast states in the US are experiencing issues, while all Japan appears to be down.

It is not clear how long the outage will last, but the reports are still flooding in to Downdector as of this writing.

Although outages are common, now is a time billions of people around the world are using them to cope with coronavirus lockdowns.

And when there are issues, the world goes into a frenzy.
