Married At First Sight: Elizabeth Sobinoff finally reveals the TRUTH about transformation

Married At First Sight’s Elizabeth Sobinoff finally reveals the TRUTH about her dramatic transformation – and what made her change her look

She was barely recognisable as she returned to Married At First Sight this year.

And Elizabeth Sobinoff has now revealed the truth about her transformation, after dying her hair, switching up her style, toning down her makeup and losing 10kg.

The 28-year-old told fans on Monday that the changes come as a result of her identifying as a chameleon, and wanting to constantly evolve.

Elizabeth told fans: ‘I am a chameleon, guys. I’m a self-confessed chameleon – and what that means to me is I always change up my look.

‘I like to have fun, experiment with what I’m feeling at that exact moment.

‘I loved the way that I looked on my first season… very vivacious, powerful and I loved the over the top makeup.’

Earlier this year, reality star Elizabeth also detailed her 10kg weight loss, telling Who magazine that she follows the popular 5:2 diet and hits the gym.

The 5:2 approach involves eating 25 per cent of the recommended calorie intake on two scheduled fasting days and eating normally for the other five days that week.

Despite her stunning weight loss, Elizabeth does not want to ‘glorify’ being thin.

‘It’s still very much me. I know people are going to say, “Well, you look completely different to how we saw you last year.” But don’t always focus on the outer shell,’ she said.

Elizabeth continued: ‘This has always been me. We grow, as people. I don’t glorify weight [loss] and be like, “I’m better now”.’

Speaking to 9Honey in March 2019, Elizabeth also revealed she suffers from two chronic health conditions: porphyria, a blood disorder, and autoimmune disease, which is a mild form of Lupus.

Because these conditions can cause fluctuating weight, she was at her ‘heaviest’ while filming season six of Married At First Sight in late 2018.
