Romeo Beckham, 17, mimics braided hairstyle made famous by dad David, 44, as he jokes he’s trying something new in lockdown
His famous footballer father David Beckham has been known for switching up his locks throughout his career.
And seeming to take inspiration from back when David, 44, had his hair styled into braids, Romeo Beckham, 17, was seen showing off a very similar look as he changed up his ‘do during lockdown.
The teen joked that being stuck indoors during the coronavirus pandemic had him trying something ‘new’ with his longer locks.

Taking to Instagram, Romeo posted a picture of his hair for fans to see, with the teen wearing two large plaits down the centre of his head.
He captioned it: ‘Staying home coming up with new styles.’
It’s not entirely new in the Beckham household, however, as David has been known to sport braids in the past. In 2003, he was pictured with his hair in braids as he headed to England’s training camp during his international footballing career.
Romeo previously ran a poll on Instagram in October last year, sharing a photo of David with his hair in braids alongside one of himself sporting similar plaits and asked who had ‘worn it best’.
Despite being regularly labelled a style icon, David lost out to his son, with 71% of Romeo’s Instagram followers choosing him over his dad.

David, meanwhile, has resorted back to a shaved look during lockdown, after giving himself a buzz cut.
Many male stars have resorted to shaving their heads in lockdown, as government restrictions mean they no longer have access to barbers to sort their locks out for them.
Earlier this month, David became the latest celebrity to shave his head and he debuted his new look on Instagram with a black and white snap.
The dad-of-four wrote: ‘Just had to be done. #stayhome #staysafe #staystrong GOODNIGHT.’

The couple’s eldest son Brooklyn Beckham, 21, is in lockdown over in the US with his girlfriend Nicola Peltz.
He made sure to celebrate his mum Victoria’s birthday on social media, despite being currently based in another country, and alongside a throwback snap of Victoria and him when he was little, Brooklyn wrote: ‘Happy birthday to the best mum in the whole world. You’re my best friend and I love you so much.’
Victoria, meanwhile, wrote via her own Instagram page: ‘I had the most special day today with @davidbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven X miss u so much @brooklynbeckham x kisses.’
