Iskra Lawrence reveals she’s ‘in awe’ as she welcomes baby via home birth during coronavirus lockdown
Iskra Lawrence has said she is ‘in awe’ after giving birth during the coronavirus lockdown.
The 29-year-old confirmed the arrival of her baby via a home birth in a lengthy Instagram post on Sunday, after revealing she was overdue just three days ago.
Telling fans she is already feeling ‘super protective’ over her newborn, Iskra explained that she will be taking some time off from social media to revel in her new addition.

Alongside a picture of her cradling her baby bump, Iskra, who shares her newborn with Philip Payne explained: ‘I have no idea how to even think right now let alone “do an announcement post” but I feel so close to so many of you – you’ve been my online fam for so many years and I’m beyond overwhelmed to tell you baby P has arrived and me and daddy are taking time to be in awe that we are now a family of three.’
Explaining she now plans to take some time off from social media to focus on being a mum, Iskra said: ‘When I’m ready I cannot wait to share more details with you all on my home birth and this tiny human that we love beyond measure. I cannot thank you all enough of the love and support through this journey.
‘During quarantine I made lots of content I’m still excited to share and knew that when baby arrived I’d want to take time off, so I have scheduled some YouTube videos like the one today about all my fave maternity dresses so you can have some glam options during pregnancy.
‘And I’ll be uploading 2 baking videos too including my official banoffee pie that you’ve been asking about hehe.’

Iskra chose not to share a photo of her baby or reveal any further details about her child and told fans that while she is comfortable being so open on social media, sharing her child online is ‘new’ territory for her.
The body confident model continued: ‘Thanks for reading all of this, we are all safe and well and just in heaven – it’s going to be a huge decision to figure out how much to share online with millions of people and as you know most of you have shown nothing but kindness but we also have received death threats and hate so I’m feeling super protective and never want my baby to feel like we over exposed them and they never got the choice whether they wanted intimate details or photos shared.
‘So it’s new territory because I’m very open with you all about many aspects of my life and health etc… so thank you again sending you all so so much love.’

Just days ago, Iskra had revealed she was overdue by three days.
‘Yessss I know I’m STILL pregnant,’ she joked while sharing a bikini snap of her baring her baby bump with her Instagram followers.
Ahead of going into labour, Iskra revealed via her YouTube channel that she was planning on having a home water birth amid the coronavirus pandemic.
She said: ‘I am grateful I’ve always wanted a home birth (my mom didn’t use drugs/ epidural so I’m down for the challenge) and I know with everything going on right now more of you maybe considering it instead of hospital.’
Iskra and former football athlete Philip have been together for 17 months and announced they were expecting their first child together on November 5.
