David and Victoria Beckham spark speculation they’ve returned to London

David and Victoria have sparked speculation they’ve returned to their home in London amid the coronavirus lockdown.

Social media posts from the couple have hinted they’re back in the capital despite the government strictly advising against non-essential travel during the pandemic.

David, 44, and Victoria, 45, have already faced huge backlash for deciding to spend the lockdown at their £6 million mansion in the Cotswolds, with locals slamming the couple for their so-called ‘selfie-isolating.’

Are they back? David and Victoria have sparked speculation they’ve returned to their home in London amid the coronavirus lockdown

David and Victoria had been spending the coronavirus lockdown in their Cotswolds mansion, but has faced backlash from villagers fearing they may have brought the deadly virus with them – meaning a move back to London would be more shocking.

One woman who works at the butchers near their home in Great Tew, Oxfordshire, said: ‘The Beckhams and these other fancy folks who think it’s a good idea to self-isolate in the country are just being selfish.’

A councillor added: ‘Showing off your beautiful country mansion on social media and telling us all what a wonderful time you’re having is just rubbing our noses in it…

‘The Beckhams and other celebrities are being stupid, irresponsible and insensitive.’

The Beckhams left their London home to stay at their countryside property before the UK was put on lockdown on March 23.

Although they spend a lot of time there on a regular basis, they have been bombarding their followers with pictures and videos of enjoying a luxurious lockdown in their palatial surrounds.

So many videos have been posted on their feeds that locals have branded their stay ‘selfie-isolation.

On Thursday, David took to Instagram Stories to share a video of himself joining in with his neighbours clapping for NHS workers. The video appeared to mimic a London street, in stark contrast to his remote country mansion.

Later the sporting star shared another image of the applause ringing out, with a video from the back of his house.

The TV personality, 53, has been targeted by local residents on social media, who accuse him of ‘flouting government regulations’ and claim he could have ‘brought coronavirus to Cornwall’ when he made the decision to move his family from London to their beachfront mansion.

One raged: ‘Don’t you realise that by doing that you’ve possibly brought the virus with you and because Cornwall is not your main residence, if you and your family get sick you will place yet more strain on an already fragile infrastructure.’

Rita Ora meanwhile is said to have ‘left locals furious by spending the COVID-19 lockdown at a rented farmhouse 150 miles away from her London abode’.

Rita is said to be staying with five people in a rural Cotswolds property in south-west England on a trip booked prior to the coronavirus pandemic gripping the nation, with the group working on her new album.

Rita and friends are said to have left local residents furious after they were ‘shooed away’ on nearby public footpaths and drones were used to ‘follow them’.  Her posse is also said to have been ‘shouted at by a farmer’ after they entered private land.

The star arrived at the farmhouse on March 21 before Prime Minister Boris Johnson put the UK on lockdown to tackle the coronavirus crisis, reports The Sun.

The publication also claims that a local wrote on an online residents’ group: ‘Surely she should respect the rules and have stayed in f****** London?’
