Married At First Sight’s Vanessa Romito shares the products that cleared up her acne

Married At First Sight‘s Vanessa Romito detailed her struggle with disfiguring acne on the controversial show this year.

And this week, the 31-year-old revealed the ‘organic’ products that she’s been using to clear up her skin.

In a handful of Instagram posts, the pharmacy manager showed off her complete skincare routine using Eco by Sonya Driver’s clear skin system.

She also posted a before and after photo of her skin, taken 3 months apart, to demonstrate the effects of the products.

Vanessa started with the brand’s Super Citrus Cleanser, followed by the Super Acai Exfoliator. 

After cleaning her skin, the brunette moisturises with the brand’s Super Fruit Hydrator, and finishes with the Glory Oil, which she called ‘one of the most effective products I’ve ever used on my skin.’

For an extra glow, Vanessa uses the famous Eco Tan Face Tan Water for a bronzed complexion.

The products contain a variety of organic anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredients, including magnesium salt, hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, omega oils from chia seeds and more.

Vanessa went on to explain her skincare journey in further detail in a lengthy post.

‘I have been using Eco Sonya for a while now and their products have helped dramatically changed what I see in the mirror,’ she said.

‘I’ve gone from having big puffy cystic breakouts to finally having my skin at a level I’m comfortable with.

‘You probably know by now that I am a huge advocate for using natural/organic products over ones that use large amounts of chemicals and this award winning brand has not disappointed!’

In addition to skincare, Vanessa has also advocated good gut health as a way to treat acne. 

Vanessa bemoaned the ‘superficial’ culture of modern dating on Married At First Sight this season, where her struggle with self-confidence became a huge storyline in early episodes.

‘I don’t think it’s a choice that I’m single,’ she admitted on the show.

‘I’m ready for a relationship but modern dating is very superficial.’ 

She added: ‘People tend to pick out your imperfections, and I’ve got a lot of them.’ 

The brunette admitted that she’s so self conscious over her skin that she avoids going on dates with men during the day.

‘I think I’m probably most attractive at night, when the lighting is dim,’ she said.

Vanessa explained her acne in further detail, revealing that her pimples would get so big at times that they would cover her eye or stick out on the side of her chin.

‘It damaged my confidence a lot,’ she said. ‘I don’t think anybody would truly be satisfied with this.

‘I’ve always felt like I was gonna be left on the shelf,’ she continued.
