Gordon Ramsay’s furious neighbours have threatened to ‘report him to the police’ as they continue to slam the celebrity chef for spending lockdown at his £4.4 million second home in Cornwall.
The TV personality, 53, has been targeted by local residents on social media, who accuse him of ‘flouting government regulations’ and claim he may have ‘brought coronavirus to Cornwall’ when he made the decision to move his family from London to their beachfront mansion.
One raged: ‘Don’t you realise that by doing that you’ve possibly brought the virus with you and because Cornwall is not your main residence, if you and your family get sick you will place yet more strain on an already fragile infrastructure.

‘I’m reporting you to the police. What you’ve done is against the law and I hope they force you back to London.’
Another shared: ‘Surely the police should be knocking on Gordon Ramsay’s door and escorting him back to London’.
A third wrote: ‘Good to hear that Gordon Ramsay too doesn’t think the rules apply to him, and has apparently moved himself and his family to his luxury second home in Cornwall. Makes you wonder why the police is not doing anything.’ (sic)
However, there were also messages of support for the chef and his family – wife Tana, 45, daughter Megan, 22, twins Jack and Holly, 20, daughter Matilda, 18, and baby Oscar.
‘They Gordon, hope you and your family are staying safe, just wanted to let you know that you’re doing a good job! And the prats that don’t like you in Cornwall are just idiots that don’t like the fact that your successful! Enjoy your lockdown #Staysafe #COVID19’, one supporter tweeted.

Another posted: ‘Hi Gordon. I’m sorry to hear you’re having hassle with the cornish. I am led to believe you were in your home in Cornwall before lockdown. If this is correct then you have done nothing wrong & you have done all you can to protect your family. Which any one would do. Stay safe.’
This comes after Gordon made a thinly-veiled dig at the Cornish locals who have berated him for relocating his family – by heaping praise on a kindly neighbour.
The chef received a delivery of fresh asparagus, left by a local on his doorstep with a hand-written note, which read: ‘A little gift from the fields across your house.’
‘Now what a lovely, beautiful, generous little gift,’ the 53-year-old gushed. ‘C’mon, seriously, that’s literally growing in the back of my garden. Now that’s what I call love thy neighbour, see?
‘That’s how you look after each other across these difficult times. There you go.’

He added, sarcastically: ‘I’m sure one local will whinge about the asparagus!’
The Ramsays have been the target of fury in the Polzeath Beach area, where they are living in their £4.4m home.
The anger is somewhat confused, however, as the Gordon and family retreated to their second home at the start of the lockdown, which is not against the government’s rules.
While people with second homes are not allowed to travel back and forth, choosing one home and sitting out the lockdown in it is not against official advice.
A friend of the family told MailOnline: ‘The family see Cornwall as their family home when the kids are back from uni and Gordon back from filming around the world it’s where they spend all their family time together.
‘They’ve been spending time there for 10 years and Jack actually lives in the house there full time too. Most of their neighbours are so welcoming and they love being part of the community.

‘They’ve been following the government advice along with the rest of the country since they arrived on March 20th and the campaign against them is hurtful and unnecessary at a time when we should all be coming together and supporting each other.’
Yet the Cornish locals appear to be out for blood – with one shopper seen berating the chef for parking his car outside a local store.
The seething local confronted Gordon about the way the car was parked and the size of it. The Hell’s Kitchen star kept his cool throughout.
The man then walked off and Gordon got into his car clutching a small bag of shopping and a coffee.
It comes as locals in the West Country called for tougher action to be taken on people fleeing to their holiday homes amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Second home owners were accused of sneaking into the area in the dead of night, and local authorities have now asked for road blocks to be put in place in order to stop people getting into tourist hot spots now on.

The Telegraph also reported that North Devon MP Selaine Saxby had raised concerns with ministers about second home owners sneaking into their properties to get away.
She warned that local service could be swamped if people continue to flout the rules implemented by the UK government.
She said: ‘I am deeply disappointed at reports I have heard over the weekend of the ongoing arrival of second home owners over the cover of darkness across the country to avoid roadblocks and I’ve raised this matter directly with the police’.
Villagers are worried Gordon may have brought the virus with him from London and want him ‘the hell out of Cornwall’ and have even threatened to expose his address if he doesn’t leave, The Sun reports.
In messages seen by the newspaper, nearby residents vented their frustration in a Facebook group called You Shouldn’t Be Here.
One user wrote: ‘The big s*** should take himself and his family the hell out of Cornwall.’
Another said: ‘Wealthy second homers think making a few quid means they are immune from the virus and any rules. They are arrogant at this best of times, this has shown how bad some of them are.’
