Kelly Ripa, 49, reveals she is covering up her gray roots with color spray

Kelly Ripa still has to look fabulous every morning even though she no longer has a makeup, hair and stylist team to glam as she films Live With Kelly And Ryan from home during self-isolation from coronavirus.

And the 49-year-old has been clever when it comes to making sure her appearance is just so.

On Tuesday the mother-of-three revealed she is not only using color spray to cover her grey hair, but she is also borrowing clothing from her 18-year-old daughter Lola’s closet.

‘I’ve been spraying my roots. At this point it’s all spray because my hair is all gray,’ said the New York resident.

Her hair has been looking blonde, not grey, on the show.

And Lola has given her tips on how to style her mane.

‘My daughter learned how to do my hair using the tie of your bathrobe,’ she said. ‘She watched a TikTok video on how to do hair by wrapping your hair around the bathrobe tie. And my daughter did my hair!’

As far as the fashion statements, they come from Lola these days,

‘I’m now in my daughter’s clothes,’ she admitted. ‘It’s gone there.’

And when Seacrest asked the mother-daughter duo if they would film a Consuelos family TikTok together, both Kelly and Lola shot him down.

‘Are we going to see your mom and your dad doing a TikTok video with you over the weekend?’ the TV personality asked.

‘No,’ Kelly replied, before Lola joked: ‘Thank god, no.’

‘You have a better chance of doing a TikTok video with Lolz than we have of doing a TikTok video with Lola,’ Ripa told her talk show co-host. ‘That I can guarantee you.’

In addition to Lola, she and husband Mark Consuelos, 49, also have two sons: Michael, 22 and Joaquin, 17.

At first Kelly had a hard time with self-isolation.

She got emotional last week as the TV host admitted her kids ‘won’t hug’ her.

Ripa made the admission as she recorded her show LIVE With Kelly and Ryan from the home she was sharing with her kids as the family practice social distancing together.

‘Look, I’m not going to lie, OK? I’m going to let you in on a little secret: I’m currently not speaking to two of my three kids right now, OK?’ the TV personality told her co-host Ryan Seacrest, 45.

The mom-of-three held back tears as she continued, ‘I’m not talking to two of them because…just because, we’re all in the same boat together, right? Like, I haven’t gotten to hug my parents….I want to hug my parents.’

She then said that the reason her kids were keeping their distance was because of coronavirus fears.

‘And I’m like, ‘Guys we’ve all been in lockdown together. We’re fine. You can give me a hug. It’s fine.”

Choking back tears, she told her co-host, ‘Anyway, I’m sorry. I don’t know why I’m crying.’

‘Maybe I’m just going to get my period, who knows? Sorry …Sorry, did I shout that? Did my inner monologue come out? Sorry, I didn’t mean to do that.’

Things seem to have taken a turn for the worse in Kelly’s home, after last month her daughter said being quarantined with her family wasn’t ‘as bad as I thought’.

Lola Consuelos made an appearance on her mother’s show to discuss ‘being under lockdown’ with co-host Ryan Seacrest, and reflected on feeling ‘very lucky’ to spend more time with her family.

Lola also elaborated on how she’s spending her quarantine, which has revolved around her schoolwork and taking classes online.

‘All my classes have been moved online, so most of my time has been taken up by learning and doing homework,’ she said, before adding she is also indulging in lots of Netflix, YouTube and TikTok.
