Creative spark to leave Mulberry this month after five years at the handbag maker
The creative chief of designer handbag maker Mulberry is leaving after five years in the job.
Johnny Coca will go at the end of this month. Having joined from Paris rival Celine, the Spaniard had been tasked with reviving sales and reinvigorating Mulberry.
He started by bringing back the original 1970s logo and introduced new handbag ranges, glasses and shoes, as well as men’s accessories and jewellery.

However last year Mulberry swung to a £5million annual loss, down from a £6.9million profit the previous year.
Coca said: ‘I am proud of everything we have achieved and the collections we have created.
