Optimism among financial services firms is booming following last month’s Tory election victory.

Financial services firms are optimistic according to a survey by PwC and the Confederation of British Industry

For the first time in three years, companies believe the UK’s business situation has improved and will benefit from a ‘Boris bounce’, according to a survey by PwC and the Confederation of British Industry.

However, bosses at banks, building societies and commercial lenders were more pessimistic. And across the entire business sector, optimism has flatlined since the General Election, according to accountant BDO.

Its data showed most firms are still waiting to see how Prime Minister Boris Johnson will take the country forward before making long-term planning decisions
